Did you know more than 20 per cent of new licensees breach at least one of their conditions in the first six months of operation? Many of these breaches are administrative and are easily resolved.
To help support new entrants into the industry, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) is running a new licensees workshop to be held before the Knowledge Exchange held on Thursday 4 May.
This workshop will focus on the key issues new licensees face as well as some tips on ensuring you’re compliant as quickly as possible.
Topics will be determined by attendees and a VCGLR gambling and liquor inspector and licensing officer will be on hand. Bring a copy of your licence to discuss specifics and answer any questions you may have.
The session will also cover common issues such as, demerits and star rating, intoxication and minors on premises and strategies to help you deal with these.
