The annual Australasian Liquor Licensing Authorities Forum 2018 (ALLAF) was held in Melbourne from October 10 –11 2018.
This year the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) hosted the conference, with the chosen theme being Responsive Regulation.
The conference provided an opportunity for regulators across Australia, to reflect on the theme and consider a diverse range of views with presentations from regulators, academia, government, industry and law enforcement.
Topics considered at the conference included alcohol consumption in the digital age, a public health approach to liquor regulation and different ways to use data to assist in policy development.
We look forward to continuing the discussion into 2019 to ensure that all Victorians and visitors enjoy safe and responsible gambling and liquor environments.
